PROJECT MANAGER

Who we are:

AVA is a VOD service for European public libraries that began in 2016 as a subsidiary of Reelport GmbH. AVA is currently available in 9 European countries and is quickly expanding, with the aim of providing the best European and arthouse cinema to library users around the continent. AVA brings together renowned film festivals, distributors and libraries to offer a exciting and unique viewing experience to library card holders around Europe.

What we need:

We are in search of a full time Project Manager (f/m). We're looking for a sociable, organised multi-tasker with project management experience, knowledge of video streaming technology and a passion for cinema.

 

Your tasks:

  • Manage the relationship with clients and stakeholders

  • Coordinate and oversee AVA projects on a European level

  • Work with developers & CTO to ensure all relevant sprints and roadmaps are managed effectively

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress

  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals

  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a project manager

  • A degree in relevant subject area or proof of sufficient professional experience 

  • Fluency in English, German & other European languages a plus

  • Excellent people skills

  • Ability to work under pressure & manage deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Experience managing small teams
